BoundlessEDU brings Medication Administration Training (MAT) to child care programs in New York. Request training for the staff who need it, or tell us when your program expects to need MAT renewal.
New York requires child care programs that choose to administer medication to have staff who are approved to give medication in a child care setting. The state’s Medication Administration Training (MAT) course is the approved course for this requirement.

Initial MAT is for staff taking the course for the first time. Use the request form above and choose Initial MAT.
MAT renewal is for staff who already hold MAT. If your program already knows when renewal is coming up, tell us the month and year and we will reach out ahead of that time to help you schedule. Not sure yet? Check “Not sure” and we will follow up.
A New York MAT certificate is valid for 3 years and must be renewed before it expires. Once a MAT certificate expires, online renewal is no longer an option and the course must be taken again.
Eligible New York child care staff may qualify for a MAT Scholarship of up to $240 for the classroom course.
